The chick peas cooked up more tender than we've ever managed to get them in the Crock Pot, but the rice didn't really seem superior to stove-cooked rice. True, it only took 7 minutes to cook, but since it only takes about 20 minutes on the stove, it's not that major a time-saver. I got it as a gift, but I would definitely buy one again, knowing how much use we get out of it.
